Biz Zen is an AI business assistant for small businesses. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. The short version: your business data belongs to you, it never trains AI models, and we never sell it.

1. What we collect

Account information: your name, email address, and sign-in details when you create an account.
Business data you add: invoices, customers, tasks, payments, and reminders you record in Biz Zen.
Connected email (workspace administrators only): only an account with workspace administrator access can connect an email account. When connected, we access only the messages needed to provide the features that were turned on (summaries, reminders, drafts). We never store your email password — connections use secure OAuth authorization.
Usage data: basic, privacy-respecting analytics about which features are used, so we can improve the product.

2. How AI handles your data

Biz Zen uses AI to summarize, classify, and answer questions about your own business data.
Your data is never used to train AI models. It is processed only to answer your requests and is not shared with other customers or used to improve models for anyone else.
AI-generated summaries and suggestions are produced on demand and remain private to your account.

3. How we use your information

To provide and operate the service: briefings, reminders, AI chat, and billing.
To communicate with you about your account, security, and product updates you asked for.
We do not sell your personal information or your business data to anyone, ever.

4. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences.
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

5. Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access to your records is protected by row-level security so only you (and people you invite) can see your business data.
A workspace administrator can disconnect a connected email account at any time, which immediately stops all syncing.
If we ever become aware of a data breach affecting your information, we will notify you promptly.

6. Your rights and choices

You can export or delete your business records at any time from within the app.
You can delete your account by contacting us — this removes your personal data, subject to records we must keep for legal or billing reasons.
